The South Western Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force (SWRDATF) brings together a wide
range of representatives who collectively have developed an integrated holistic
strategy, to address substance use and its associated problems in the South West
Dublin, West Wicklow and Kildare areas. The Task Force are currently developing its
team therefore wish to recruit the following position:
Treatment & Rehabilitation (T&R) Officer – Part-time (20 hours)
The purpose of the role is to support the T&R subgroup in developing, implementing
and reviewing the SWRDATF substance misuse T&R strategy, in collaboration with
key stakeholders from the community, voluntary and statutory sector.
It is expected in the normal course of events that the role will evolve as professionals
and service demands change.
Essential Criteria
– Minimum of a level 7 diploma in Community Drugs Work, Addiction Studies,
Community Development or related field.
– Minimum of 3 years paid experience in addiction / community work / community
development settings.
– An aptitude for general office work, good record keeping, including excellent
interpersonal and communication skills and social media skills.
S/he will be employed by the Co Kildare LEADER Partnership (Host Agency only) on
an initial 12 month fixed term contract including a 6 month probationary period.
Salary: HSE Project Worker Scale (€34,309 – €49,137 pro rata)
